TM44 Inspection Legislation - Are you compliant?

According to TM44 inspection legislation laid down by the UK government, you must have your air conditioning system inspected every five years or face a statutory £300 fine. The government accredits air conditioning assessors, so make sure that you use an approved assessor such as WM Air Conditioning.

To the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) TM44 is the guidance used for all air conditioning inspections conducted in the UK. It aims to ensure that all air conditioning systems comply with the requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Since 2009, it has been compulsory under TM44 inspection legislation to have air conditioning inspections in public and commercial buildings every five years to ensure that these AC systems meet the requirements for energy efficiency and carbon emissions.

If your air conditioning system has an effective rated output of more than 12kw, you must have an inspection every five years by an accredited assessor. We can help - Contact us.
